For most of us, bereavement will be the most distressing experience we will ever face. Grief is what we feel when somebody we are close to dies. Everyone experiences grief differently and there is no 'normal' or 'right' way to grieve.
Many people we speak to have never experienced grief before so have no idea what to expect. The feelings and reponses you have to the loss of a loved on can be scary and understanding the grieiving process can be reassuring.
You may have been told that you should be "getting over it" or "moving on with you life". Grief is not an illness and there is no cure. Over time we learn to live with the loss but it is always there.
Our national website has some excellent information on grief so please follow the links below but do come back to us if we can help.
