Raising all the funds needed to keep our service running is a tough job and we welcome your help. We don't have a huge fundraising team so we rely on the support of volunteers. If you would like to make a positive difference there are lots of ways you can raise funds - there really is something for everyone!
Raise funds whilst you shop online.
The easiest way to raise funds with easyfundraising! Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be collecting free donations for Cruse Bedfordshire? There are over 3,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, theatreline and Sainsbury's – it doesn't cost you a penny extra!
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3...
1. Head to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/cbcbedfords/ and join for free.
2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.
3. After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever! There are no catches or hidden charges and we will be really grateful for your donations.
Cuppa for Cruse
We know how good it is to get together wth friends over a cuppa, have a chat, eat some cake! Sharing time with friends is good for you and can be helpful particularly if you have been bereaved. Hosting a Cuppa for Cruse can be fun and raise funds for help other bereaved people. It doesn't have to be complicated - just invite your friends around, bake (or buy) some cakes and put the kettle on. Ask you friends to make a small donation or make a small charge for cake. If you are bereaved then perhaps dedicate your Cuppa for Cruse to the memory of your loved one.
Whether you are a marathon runner or a couch potato you can take on a new challenge. Run, walk, swim, cycle, dance and raise funds for Cruse. Whatever you do you will be a winner to us! There are lots of events locally and we will give you plenty of encouragement. Have a look here at some upcoming events or train start training for a 5k run by following this programme
Charity of the Year
Bereavement effects most of us at sometime so it is something people empathise with, even if they do not want to talk about their own experiences. If your employer, sports club or local pub has a charity of the year then why not nominate Cruse Bedfordshire? We would be more than happy to come and tell you more about the work we do to help inspire people.
